Blue Fish Placemat - Set of 4
This fish print was created using a Japanese print method called Gyotaku (fish rubbings). It is created by applying paint to the side of a fish and then laying the fish on the paper. The eyes are painted by hand. The artist on these placemats is Peter Van Dingstee, who lives in Nantucket. Thick and moisture-resistant, this set of 12" by 16" placemats wipes clean and features a thin cork backing for great table/tablecloth protection. They're even heat-resistant to 225 degrees! The glossy gift box makes them perfect for hostess gifts. Gift box has a tag on it with artist's bio.
